The “Neruda Series” consists of twelve mini reliquaries I created while falling in love. Each is named after lines from Neruda poems. Influenced by Native American feather baskets seen in the Denver Art Museum a few winters ago, the niches in my new mini-reliquary series are “feathered.”   My recent obsession with old barbwire continues to weave itself into the art along with a life-long fascination with animal skulls. “Chrysos” is the Greek god of gold.
