My dearest friend Cliff and I shared a fascination for owls – majestic, spirited and spiritual. He was especially excited when I began this sculpture. I didn't have the heart to finish the sculpture when Cliff died unexpectedly that spring but a special owl-related incident nearly a year later gave me the inspiration I needed to complete the sculpture (full story in my blog).
